Jackson Carter Kindness Scholarship
Overview
This is a scholarship given to a Rogers High School student who most exhibits the type of Kindness that defined Jackson Carter. This student would demonstrate on a regular basis financial, physical, or emotional support to others in need.
This award in not applied for by the student, it is done without the students knowledge as a nomination by a faculty member at Rogers High School. Scholarship will be paid directly to an institution for higher learning (four-year college/University, two-year college, trade school or equivalent).

Zach Lawing
2025 Kindness Scholarship
As a senior on the Rogers high school baseball team, Zach stood up for freshmen when some people were picking on them in the hallways. This is just one out of the hundreds of stories like that for Zach Lawing. Zach devoted an exceptional amount of work in support of the “Make a Wish” Event as the president of DECA. Zach made it his lifes goal to contribute his time and energy to Make A Wish to make a kid's lives better.

Juan Diego Morales Reyes
2024 Kindness Scholarship
The Jackson McIntosh Carter Foundation is pleased to have presented the second Jackson Carter Kindness Award to Rogers High School senior, Juan Diego Morales Reyes. Juan Diego has showcased his leadership and kindness throughout his time as captain of the soccer team. Leading the charge, Juan Diego and his teammates served the community through volunteer work at the annual Suicide Prevention and Awareness Hope Walk. Juan Diego has selflessly served his peers whether it be helping a fellow classmate learn and apply for scholarships to his future Christian Brothers University or helping out at many after school events to serve food. Juan Diego came up with the idea of awarding the team ball to staff members who have helped their teammates. His selflessness and kindness shines through - as a nominator wrote, "this respect for his teammates, peers, and the staff at RHS has truly made Mountie Land a better place, and our school will be a little dimmer without him in it". Thank you Juan Diego for continuing to 'be the light' that Jackson always was.

Emma Flager
2023 Kindness Scholarship
The Jackson McIntosh Carter Foundation is pleased to have presented the first Jackson Carter Kindness Award to Rogers High School senior, Emma Flager. During the 2021-22 school year, Emma learned of the illness of a classmate and the challenges his family faced. She humbly jumped into action; first, attending an early graduation celebration for the student, and then organizing a car parade to bring cheer to the student and his family. Sadly, her classmate passed away, but Emma continued to support his family by raising funds through a bake sale for a Memorial bench to be placed at the gravesite. One of the nominators wrote,(she) “did all of this out of the kindness of her heart. She did not ask for any kind of recognition. She only wanted to help the family.” Emma was presented the award at the RHS Scholarship Banquet this past May. We are excited to recognize and honor our inaugural recipient who has most certainly demonstrated Jackson’s spirit of generosity and kindness. Emma, thank you for continuing to ‘be the light’ that Jackson always was.
