JMC Innovation Scholarship
OVERVIEW
Jackson McIntosh Carter possessed an incredible combination of qualities. This scholarship was developed to honor his curious spirit and innovative mind. The candidate receiving this award must demonstrate tangible and documented evidence of an innovative idea, tool, or substantiated entrepreneurial effort.
This scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior from any Benton County public school. The scholarship is $5000, it will be paid directly to an institution for higher learning (four-year college/University, two-year college, trade school or equivalent).
*Relatives of board members and active volunteers will not be considered
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Submit a 3 minute or less video of your innovation.

Email Jmcrecommendationletters@gmail.com 2 Letters of Recommendation from a non-family member. All letters of recommendations must come directly from the recommender and will be kept confidential.

Upload a copy of current transcript.

Optional- upload previous examples of innovative projects you have been part of creating, that are not part of your submission.

The video should describe how you demonstrate ingenuity, innovation, and creativity inside and outside of school. The use of slides, graphs, and other visual effects are encouraged.

Nathalia Acosta
2025 Innovation Scholarship
Graduated from Rogers New Tech High School in 2025. She spent a lot of time volunteering for the Daylight Project, a community organization she co-founded. Nathalia enjoys creating content! She helped run her school’s Instagram. She even created a YouTube channel with my friends to vlog her senior year. As an innovator, Nathalia scripted, designed and developed multi- platform game that has over 4 million views and over 10, 000 active players. Nathalia plans on majoring in chemistry and then pursuing a master's through pharmacy school to become a medicinal chemist.

2024 Innovation Scholarship
The Jackson McIntosh Carter Foundation is pleased to have presented the second JMC Innovation Scholarship to Rogers Heritage High School senior, Tyler Cavett. Tyler's passion for mechanical engineering and 3D printing shines through his long list of 3D printed products/tools to provide solutions to real world issues. Jackson shared a similar passion for innovation and continuing to push forward on how to use latest technology to better the world. We can't wait to see what Tyler does with his further education and continued development of 3D printing skills!

Chandra Suda
2024 Innovation Scholarship
The Jackson McIntosh Carter Foundation is pleased to have presented the second JMC Innovation Scholarship to Bentonville High School senior, Chandra Suda. Chandra's passion for technology, healthcare equity, and community advocacy shines through his project to utilize individuals' cough audio to diagnose and monitor tuberculosis. Chandra developed code that can analyze the audio of the cough to diagnosis and provide preventive treatment monitoring to potential TB patients. Chandra will continue to utilize his passion for innovation and healthcare to better the world. We cannot wait to see what all he accomplishes in this space.

Nicole Mckellar
2023 Innovation Scholarship
The Jackson McIntosh Carter Foundation is pleased to have presented the first JMC Innovation Scholarship to Rogers High School senior, Nicole McKellar. Nicole's passion for environmental issues and civil engineering shines through her Arch-Tech project to provide a solution to the problem of over population in cities and increasingly little viable land, leading to urban sprawl. These desert homes utilize wind/sand storm, solar energy, and temperature regulation water climate technology to solve this issue. Nicole's creativity and passion for innovation are in line with Jackon's curious spirit and innovative mind. For that reason, we are thrilled to reward Nicole with the first annual JMC Innovation Scholarship.
